CONFLICT BETWEEN DAVID GILMOUR AND ROGERS WATERS

“The Final Cut “was the final album of the Pink Floyd with Rogers Waters. Later in early 1980’s Waters sued the band for using the name Pink Floyd but settled out of court.

The conflict between them started when their egos began to collide and when the opinions started to differ. When Gilmour appointed “Wright for Momentary Lapse of Reason” Roger exclaimed the album as forgery despite the album being ranked no 3 in UK charts. Gilmour later did admit he missed Rogers’s creative part in the album.

The band eventually disbanded after The Division Bell tour. Waters reunited with Gilmour, Mason and Wright for the Live 8 charity concert in 2005 and Gilmour did make a surprise appearance at Waters’ live concerts at the O2 Arena in London.

It’s safe to say many Pink Floyd fans still believe if the band was united, there would have been many more amazing legendary songs from most amazing band ever on earth.
