Nick Mason The Underrated Master




The Founder Member and Drummer Of the iconic Progressive Rock Band PINK FLOYD, Nick Mason was born on 1944 In Birmingham England. He was the only member of Pink Floyd to feature on every album of the band since 1965.

He was a massive fan of auto racing and was a film maker as well. He teamed up  with Rogers Waters , Rick Wright and Bob Klose while studying on University of  Westminster.

Nick Mason favourite Pink Floyd songs may come as surprise for everyone. His favourite Pink Floyd does not consist radio favourites. "Wish you were here" or " Another Brick in the Wall" nor the prog classic "Comfortabely Numb".


When asked about his favourite song he replied his favourite song as "Set the Controls For the Heart of the Sun " because it is fun and easy to play. He is credited as the sole writer on two of Pink Floyd's songs: "The Grand Vizier's Garden Party Parts 1-3" and "Speak to Me." Though he rarely played other instruments besides the drums, Mason created sound effects for the band's famous Dark Side of the Moon album.
